OPEN-CALL AUDITIONS

All Actorfest attendees will have the opportunity to participate in auditions for an outstanding variety of projects and casting directors.
This is a great opportunity to be seen by professionals for FREE.

Audition slots are limited, so we recommend showing up at Actorfest early to sign up for an audition spot. Audition slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The opportunity to audition is not guaranteed.

For the auditions, remember to bring copies of your headshot and resume (stapled together).

Currently, open-call auditions are scheduled for:

* NBC/Universal
* Telemundo
* Nickelodeon
* Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc.

Here are specific instructions for some of the auditions.

NBC/Universal and Telemundo

NBC Universal and Telemundo will be holding auditions designed to add diversity to NBC and Telemundo's expanding talent pool.

NBC's roster of scripted series includes critically acclaimed comedies like Emmy winners The Office, starring Steve Carell, and 30 Rock, starring Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey; award-winning dramas including the Law & Order brand, Heroes, and Chuck; daytime drama Days of Our Lives; and the Saturday-morning Qubo block of programming for kids, including the award-winning 3-D animated series Veggie Tales.

Telemundo is a U.S. Spanish-language broadcast television network committed to broadcasting unique and outstanding national and local entertainment, news, and sports programming; Telemundo reaches 93% of U.S. Hispanic viewers through 16 owned-and-operated stations, 45 broadcast affiliates, and distribution to nearly 800 cable systems in more than 210 markets.

Seeking-Bilingual and Spanish-Speaking Actors: males and females (all ages); and Actors who can play 50+: males and females

Auditions will be held Oct. 24 at Back Stage's Actorfest, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Manhattan Center Studios, The Hammerstein Ballroom (34th St. btwn. Eighth & Ninth aves.), NYC. Callbacks will be held starting at 2 p.m.

If you are called back, you will be given a scene to prepare and read. Come prepared with multiple copies of your pix & résumés (stapled together). Sign up for an audition time slot as early in the day as possible after arriving at Actorfest. There is no guarantee that everyone will be seen; early attendance is strongly recommended.

General admission to Actorfest is free. Please be advised that no actor is guaranteed a role in a future production.

Nickelodeon & TeenNick Open Casting Call -- Ages 12 to 20 Years

Nickelodeon and TeenNick are holding a general open call for various projects.

What: Seeking—Male and Female Actors: 12-20 years only, all ethnicities, all types.

When: Oct. 24, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Back Stage's Actorfest

Where: Manhattan Center Studios, The Hammerstein Ballroom (34th St., btwn. Eighth & Ninth aves.), NYC.

What to Prepare: Prescreen audition materials will be given on site. Bring a headshot (snapshot ok) & résumé, stapled together; must include name, age & all contact info. If you are called back, you will be given a scene to prepare and read.

What to Wear: Dress casual, like a real teen, similar to what you see on Nickelodeon.

Additional Info: Callbacks are the same day and you will be notified in person if we are interested. We will keep all headshots on file for possible future auditions. Projects vary.

Grant Wilfley Casting

Grant Wilfley Casting is casting background for a number of current and future film and television projects, including Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2, and the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire.

Recent credits include, Sex & The City: The Movie, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", The Departed, Michael Clayton, Enchanted, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, Burn After Reading, Shutter Island, "Lipstick Jungle", Julie & Julia, Old Dogs, and "The Sopranos."

Allison Hall, casting associate; Jolanda Anthony, casting assistant; Stephanie Forrest, casting assistant. Shooting dates and locations will vary, depending on the project.

Seeking—Background Actors, Singers, and Dancers: males and females, all ages, all ethnicities, all types, for background acting work and possibly featured/day-player roles.

Auditions will be held Oct. 24 at Back Stage's Actorfest, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m and 1:30-4:30, at Manhattan Center Studios, The Hammerstein Ballroom (34th St. btwn. Eighth & Ninth aves.), NYC. Come prepared with multiple copies of your pix & résumés (stapled together).

CASTING DIRECTOR AND AGENT MEET & GREETS

Numerous casting directors and casting associates will be holding Meet & Greet sessions at Actorfest, where you'll get the opportunity to talk to top casting professionals one-on-one for a minute or two, and then drop off your headshot and resume with them for future consideration.

Although these are not auditions, this is a terrific opportunity to get noticed by casting directors, receive quick and valuable feedback on your headshot and resume, or have some of your important career questions answered by leading casting professionals.

To attend a Meet & Greet session, simply stand in line at the Meet & Greet area at Actorfest. Don't forget to bring copies of your headshot and resume (stapled together)!

NOTE:
The Meet & Greets are free, but in order to stand in line for a Meet & Greet session, you must first purchase a ticket to at least one Actorfest Workshop (a Panel, Intensive, or Focus Session). Meet & Greet slots are limited; the opportunity to meet a casting director is not guaranteed.

Lots of casting directors, agents, and managers will have Drop Boxes available at Actorfest. When you attend Actorfest, you'll have the opportunity to drop off your
headshot and resume in these boxes throughout the day.
And you can add your pix & resume to as many boxes as you'd like!

So make sure you bring multiple copies of your headshot and resume (stapled together) to Actorfest. It's a free, convenient way to get your photo and resume into the hands of casting professionals.
