Since 1998, we have built a large community of writers passionately committed to writing original, unforgettable work.

This year, we’ve created two new awards for international screenwriters, expanded our early analysis deadlines and resubmission programs and brought back our popular title contest to further our support and find the new writer.
PRIZES
Winner receives $10,000Four Finalists receive $1500 each. The best screenplay from the UK will be awarded the Cordelia Award and will receive $2500. The best screenplay outside the USA, Canada and the UK will be awarded the Joplin Award and receive $2500. The screenplay with the best title submitted in November and December, as voted by the public, will receive $1000. OPEN-CALL AUDITIONS
All Actorfest attendees will have the opportunity to participate in auditions for an outstanding variety of projects and casting directors. This is a great opportunity to be seen by professionals for FREE.
Audition slots are limited, so we recommend showing up at Actorfest early to sign up for an audition spot. Audition slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The opportunity to audition is not guaranteed.

NBC Universal and Telemundo will be holding auditions designed to add diversity to NBC and Telemundo's expanding talent pool.

Nickelodeon and TeenNick are holding a general open call for various projects.
What: Seeking—Male and Female Actors: 12-20 years only, all ethnicities, all types.

What to Wear: Dress casual, like a real teen, similar to what you see on Nickelodeon.

Grant Wilfley Casting is casting background for a number of current and future film and television projects, including Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2, and the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire.

Numerous casting directors and casting associates will be holding Meet & Greet sessions at Actorfest, where you'll get the opportunity to talk to top casting professionals one-on-one for a minute or two, and then drop off your headshot and resume with them for future consideration.
Although these are not auditions, this is a terrific opportunity to get noticed by casting directors, receive quick and valuable feedback on your headshot and resume, or have some of your important career questions answered by leading casting professionals.
To attend a Meet & Greet session, simply stand in line at the Meet & Greet area at Actorfest. Don't forget to bring copies of your headshot and resume (stapled together)!
NOTE: The Meet & Greets are free, but in order to stand in line for a Meet & Greet session, you must first purchase a ticket to at least one Actorfest Workshop (a Panel, Intensive, or Focus Session). Meet & Greet slots are limited; the opportunity to meet a casting director is not guaranteed.

Venue Ensemble Theatre (VET) is scheduled to present LATER LIFE by A.R. Gurney February 12-28, 2010 at Venue Theatre Pinellas Park, FL.
"Later Life" tells what happens when Austin, a Boston banker, is unexpectedly thrown together at a cocktail party with Ruth, a woman he met as a serviceman one night in Capri 30-odd years ago. As a young man, he let Ruth get away. Given a second chance in "Later Life," will the outcome be different?
Director Kathy Richter is currently casting for LATER LIFE. The remaining role to be filled is that of "Other Men". In Gurney fashion, one actor plays 5 distinctly different characters (age range 50-70). May consider several actors to cover this role.
Character Description for "Other Men": The characters are real people and should not be played as cartoons or caricatures. Quick costume changes will be required.
Jim: witty gay gentleman with a nicotine addiction who is constantly trying to quit smoking
Roy: retiree who wants to leave Boston and relocate to Florida despite his wife's protests.
Duane: computer geek
Ted: an "everyday Southern guy" who just moved to Boston with his wife and is enjoying the city
Walt: a middle-aged man who is pushing his divorced friend to begin dating

Victoria's Secret is seeking runway model contestants for the Victoria's Secret Model Search. The expert panel will select the top 10 finalists, who will participate in "Model Boot Camp" before one winner is selected to walk the runway in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show TV Special.
